Materials needed: Pictures of different countries, world map, projector

Procedure:

  1. Start the lesson by showing pictures of different countries and ask students if they can name them. Encourage them to use English words as much as possible.
  2. Next, use a world map to locate the countries shown in the pictures. Point to each country, pronounce its name, and ask students to repeat after you.
  3. Discuss the diversity of languages spoken around the world and how English is a widely used language.
  4. Explain to students that throughout the year, they will be learning English vocabulary and grammar to improve their communication skills.
  5. Show a short video or play a song related to English as a global language to further engage students' interest.
  6. Conclude the introduction by telling students that they will now start learning basic English vocabulary and grammar.
